Sometimes God throws a wrench in your plans.....

Andrew and I were talking the other night about how our life was. We both were talking about how lucky we were and what a great life we hve. Then, we got to talking about what we had planned for our lives before we met each other. Andrew had planned to graduate and live the bachelor life for a while and I had other plans as well.

In high school I took many business classes and decided that was what I wanted to do. I had big plans of going to college and getting my degree then moving to the a smaller city(such as Louisville) for a few years and then heading off to a larger city(such as New York) and be a working girl, living the single life all on my own. I wanted a loft apartment with all modern things inside, a little Yorkie named Bella to greet me and sleep with me at night, and plans to be out on the town with my girls every night of the week. I saw myself dating different guys for a while while waiting for my M.r Right to come along. I was just sure that he would be Mr. Suave with a good job in a firm of some sort and buy me fancy things and take me out to eat all of the time. Picture me being Kate Hudson in "How to lose a guy in 10 days" ........that was my vision for a long time. Then Spring 2003 came rollin' around.

In had been single for a while and prayed for God to give me a good guy to "date". Someone who wanted to have fun, dressed and looked presentable, had a good background and family, and was a Christian. And just like that Andrew dropped into my life. We had such a good time together and our first date was that February. September 2004 my life changed paths when he proposed. And September 2005 I became Mrs. Andrew Wibbeler. God had different plans. And my life took a completely different path than I had planned.

My life is better than I had ever pictured. Instead of jogging around Central Park I run around my yard chasing my sweet little girl. Instead of shopping at Bloomingdale's I enjoy Wal-Mart and on special occasions, Eastland Mall. Instead of fancy restaurants with top chefs I have a wonderful evening meals at Candace's Kitchen prepared by Andrew and myself. Instead of drinks with the girls late at night I enjoy my women's gatherings with the great ladies from Mt. Pisgah G.B. Church.

I once saw myself on the fast track to a big and fancy job. Now I hope to someday see myself at home with my 3-4 kids playing in the yard and Andrew and I sitting on our porch in our rocking chairs. Sometimes, God throws a wrench in our plans........the old go up in smoke and the new are laid out in his time for you to see. I can't imagine my plan being any different or better than what I have right now. However, I do hope that I can have one short vacation in New York......maybe Andrew will take me to Central Park to go ice skating at Christmas and later we can stroll on down to F. A. O. Schwartz to buy presents for our kids! Maybe if I am really lucky he will also sneak in a trip to Tiffany and Company and a Broadway play! A girl can always dream!

Show us where you live: Christmas Edition

Show us where you live: Christmas Edition was last Friday and I forgot to take pictures last week, so here it is, better late than never! Enjoy......'tis the season!

This is our Christmas Tree, in the foyer so that you can see it as you enter the house and Calleigh can not get to it and pull all of the ornaments off!
This is one of the ornaments I made for our family and friends last year and I had an extra left so I made one for us too!

This is one of the ornaments that is on the tree. I have a country themed tree and country themed ornaments . Below is another.

Below you will see Calleigh's ornaments. The first one is from last Christmas and the one below it is the new one for this year!
This is the ornament for this year! It plays music from the back and all! I love it so much! And the little girl even has red hair!

This is the snowman and the large candy cane that is sitting beside the tree and if you look close you can see the snow on the ground outside!!!

This is the Nativity Scene that is on the bar in kitchen. Andrew and I bought this our first Christmas in our house and we hope that it will be passed down to our kids!

This is the Christmas tree that is on the table in the kitchen. I love how it looks snowed on and has the antique candy canes and stockings on it! Just the right size for my table!

Here is the mantle with all the stockings just waiting for Santa to fill them with goodies!

These are the three Christmas trees in the living room with red and green polka dots on them and the lights are multi colored. They are up a little high so that they can be seem from outside.

This is the baby Nativity scene in Calleigh's room. We got this for Calleigh last year so that we could teach her about the story of Jesus and that he is the reason for the season! This is the smore tree in Calleigh's room, just a little fun for her!

I hope you enjoyed seeing our Christmas decorations! Merry Christmas to everyone!

I am now married to Mr. Clean!

We had such a great weekend! Friday night Calleigh stayed with Andrew's mom. That night, we decided to cut Andrew's hair. I have been cutting Andrew's hair for a long time now. We invested in some clippers and now you can add hair cutting master do my list......or maybe not!!

We dropped Calleigh off with his mom and we came back home. We got out the clippers and Andrew setup a stool and got everything ready, or so I thought. He told me he was ready and we went out in the garage together. We were talking about our plans for the next day and Christmas and such. Andrew sat down, we kept talking, I grabbed the clippers and did my first swipe at his hair. WHOOPS! Little did I know that he did not put the guard on the clippers, he thought I would see it and put it on there. I was so into our conversation when he said he had set it all up and was ready, I thought he meant COMPLETELY ready, which he was not.......so, now, his hair is gone. There was no fixing or turning back at this point. We both laughed hysterically until we were crying and not breathing and I was one of the greatest moments. I will never, and I mean never, forget that night and that moment. After that we were talking about how great it is to be married to your best friend and how when things like that happen we don't get mad at each other, we just laugh. And that was one more reminder for me why I married him. He did not get mad at me when I messed up his hair, and even though I felt horrible,we laughed. It makes me smile to know that when we are old, we will still look back on this occasion and laugh just like we did that night. I am truly blessed to have married my very best friend.

The rest of our weekend was great too! Andrew killed a 9-point buck on opening morning of gun season. He was so excited and secretly I was too! I love the look on his face and the excitement in his voice when he finally kills a deer. Plus, he still hunts, but he is home more now that the buck is out of the way! He will still go out and kill a few does, but I am ok with that! We do use it just like we do hamburger and it saves us money and is healthier than other meats.

I had a jewelry meeting on Saturday morning. For those of you who do not know I am now selling Premier Designs Jewelry to make some extra cash! If anyone wants to have a party or place an individual order please contact me! You can earn lots of FREE jewelry!!!!!

Saturday night we were off to Huntingburg after Andrew's cousin Zeth also killed a buck. On Sunday we slept in a little and did some things around the house. The big highlight for us was that night, when the Colts beat the Patriots 35-34!!!!!!!

We have a busy week ahead with Thanksgiving just around the corner. We have family coming in staying at our house, so I have a lot of cleaning and buying to do!!!!

Hope you are having a great week!

"Trick the Halls"

Calleigh gets to go Trick or Treating three times this year. Last night she went to "Trick the Halls" at Oakland City University(which is where I work) and went to the dorms which were decorated for Halloween and the kids all handed out candy that was donated from area businesses. Here is a collage that I made from last night.

Three Day Weekend and blessings

Well, today is my last day of work for the week! It has been a good week for our family. We have had so much time together. On Monday and Tuesday nights Andrew was home with us all night. We had supper as a family and then spent time playing with Calleigh and watched TV together. Last night Andrew went hunting but afterwards we went and had Chinese for supper, which was such a good decision. It was late and I did not have to cook and we ate one of my favorite foods.

The heater in my equinox is having a slight malfunction and our friend Trent is going to look at it on Saturday and fix it. He is pretty sure that he can fix it for around $50.00 and I am excited that it does not cost a whole lot! We are seeing the blessings of our new heater in our home as it has been cold here for the past couple of weeks. It is nice to wake up in the middle of the night and not have to worry about if we are close to running out of heating oil. We know that as long as we have electricity we have heat! And if we don't have electricity then we have a fireplace that will work! God has also blessed us with two unexpected things just his week. The first is that since we have tomorrow off we planned to go to the eye doctor. Knowing that my glasses usually run about $400.00 and Andrew will need new reading glasses I have saved back about $650.00. As I was checking to see how my new insurance works and would cover us tomorrow I was told that it would be just $40.00 a person, making our bill only $80.00! So, I can use the extra money for Christmas! What a blessing! I am so thankful for the little things that God is doing in our lives, it is such a blessing that we did not expect but are very appreciative for it!

You can do us a favor and keep us in your prayers. Andrew is going to school to be a principal, however a new opportunity has come up for us and we are excited and anxious about it. I would love to give you more details, but until we know that final outcome, we are keeping it to ourselves. We know that God has a plan for us and we also know how strong and wonderful the power of prayer is so we ask that you say a prayer for us. God knows our needs and we know his plan for our life is laid out already. We pray that his will be done in our lives and when he calls, we answer. So simple, yet so hard. We have faith in him and trust all decisions he makes for us. No matter what happens, God is good, God is there, and he loves us, just as we do him!

I pray that you all have a blessed weekend as we plan on doing. Tomorrow holds a eye appointment for Andrew and I and a 18 month well baby check-up for Calleigh. Saturday we have plans to just spend time together. Andrew is going to hunt in the morning and I am going to spend time with my sweet daughter. We are planning on getting the basement all cleaned up and having a nice night together. Sunday we have church and then a baptism for Andrew's step-niece, Aubry. I am ready for this much needed break! Have a great weekend!

My next pet...

....is one of these TEA-CUP PIGS!!!!!! How cute are they? The only problem they will cost ya about $1500 big ones! Yikes! Maybe I should ask Santa, he always brings you just what you want!

A little vacation.....

Well, after a little vacation that I forgot to tell you about I am back. When I left, I was headed to my Walk to Emmaus. It was one of the greatest things that I have ever experienced! My relationship with God has grown tremendously and I have finally forgiven someone for something that happened 15 years ago. For those of you who do not know, my uncle was brutally murdered. I do not want to go into all of the details right now(maybe another time) but I was scared and full of hatred for the people who did this. But I learned that God does not want me to be mad or hold grudges. He does not want me to let these people steal my joy. He wants to have a closer relationship with me. And I finally let my guard down and gave it all to him and I am not going to pick it back up. My life has changed so much from just this one thing. I am happier with my relationship with the Lord. I met a girl who was going through the same thing as me and now we have become friends through our experiences. I am working on reading my bible a lot more, trying to remember my daily devotions, but I am not perfect. I have let too many other things come before the Lord in my everyday life and I have learned that He has to come first. He is what my life is not and should be revolving around. My life previously has been revolving around my husband, my daughter, my husband's job, my husband's students, my job, my church, and everything else. But when I make time for God first, my life is still all there but so much better than it was before.

I have learned that God is and should be my number one priority. Andrew and Calleigh are second, my extended family is third, and so on. It should be like that and now it is like that. I am happy with this. I know that without God I would be nothing. With him, I am everything that he wants me to be. I am a wife, mommy, daughter, friend, pet owner, administrative assistant, church member, and so many more things. I know that there are times that I am gonna mess up, but I also know that no matter what I do, God forgives and his hand is reaching out for me. I am filled with a joy that I can not explain, and it is so GREAT!!!!

I have been very busy with work and such. We have been getting ready for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lauren's wedding(which I am now the Wedding Coordinator!!!), a family vacation in March, and my Brother-in-laws wedding in July! So much to do, but so much time for our family! Andrew is almost done with soccer this season and Calleigh and I are very excited to have him home with us for a while! Family nights are so fun and I am so blessed to have the wonderful family that I have! I will do my best to be better at blogging and adding pictures! I am sorry for the lack of post and pictures, I will be better, I promise!

Happy Fall everyone!

A Walk to Emmaus

As some of you may know, I am going on my religious retreat called A Walk to Emmaus tomorrow. I can't believe it is already here! I am excited to go and open my heart to all of the wonderful experiences that God has in store for me. However, to say that I am not nervous would be down right wrong. I am nervous to leave Calleigh, I am nervous to leave Andrew, I am nervous to leave my office for a two day period, and I am nervous for all that awaits me. But, one look at this and I know that things are going to be ok:

This pic was taken last night at my parents house. Isn't she the cutest thing you have ever seen? Not that I am partial or anything, but I love her in that little dress!

I will not be posting again until after my walk, so please pray for me and my family. Pray for the opening of my eyes and my heart. Pray that things good good for Andrew and Calleigh and that I come back and new and better Mommy and Wife. Also pray that as soon as I get back I can watch the Season Premier of Grey's Anatomy that I am missing but DVR-ing! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers in advance, I can't wait to let you know all about my experience!

Have a great weekend!

P.S. Be sure to scroll down and check out a slideshow of Calleigh coloring for the first ime!

Calleigh's Coloring Extravaganza

We sat Calleigh down at the table, taped some sheets of paper down, handed her some crayons and my little doll became Picasso before my very eyes!

He's Here!!!

Jaron Edward Woolsey was born last night, September 17th at 11:01 p.m. He was 7lbs. 10 ozs. and was 20 inches long! He and Mom are both doing fine! Here is a picture of him, what a cutie! I can't wait to go and see him tonight!

Our Anniversary was last night and we had a good time. We had dinner from Mi Pueblo and the Pumpkin Cheese Cake from Sweet Stuff all at home. We ordered everything take out, brought it home and ate in our pajamas! It was a wonderful night! Andrew gave me my present when he got home: It was this wonderful Willow Tree Angel. Just in case you don't know, I collect them and love them so much so this gift meant a lot to me!This one is called "Child of My Heart" It's wonderful!
This weekend is the Holland festival and the Winslow festival. Andrew is from Holland and I am from Winslow(where we also currently reside) and we are going to both festivals. At the Holland festival, Andrew is going to help his dad with the chili cook-off and Calleigh is in the baby photo contest. There are kids games for Calleigh and good BBQ Chicken dinners. Then we are headed to the Winslow festival for the after dark light parade. This is a parade that take place down main street in town and all of the businesses shut off their lights. The town turns off the street lights and different churches, group, and organizations have floats that are decorated with lights. Our church had a float for the first time last year and this year we are planning another. We are going to have the band from our church play and a man dressed as Jesus carry a cross. We are handing out glow in the dark crosses for all of the kids as well as candy and info about our church. It is such a fun thing that not many have heard of and most have a great time!

On a side not, a little over a month ago I got another tattoo, just my second. It's Calleigh's name on my foot:
This picture was taken about 12 hours after I got it so you can tell it is still red and a little puffy, but at least you can see it!

Have a great weekend! Mine is full of festivals, a new baby, church, and my family! Sounds like a good weekend to me!

A New Baby & A Wonderful Anniversary!

A new baby is on his way! Kara, my friend I blogged about yesterday was taken to the hospital last night with contractions. They broke her water this morning and the contractions are getting stronger and stronger and bless her heart she still has not taken any pain meds........at all! What a strong woman. Please pray that things are going well for her and we all get the chance to meet Jaron very soon!

Today is our 4th anniversary and we are very excited to spend this evening together! We really do not have many plans, so maybe I can talk Andrew into going somewhere to eat tonight, because I do not feel like cooking. However, for a surprise for Andrew I did have a friend, Stacy who owns Sweet Stuff Bakery, make us a combo of our favorite desserts: Andrew's Pumpkin Pie and My Cheesecake together to make Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake....YUM!! I can't wait to eat that tonight! I have already given Andrew his present from me which was a steering wheel cover and new floor mats that are both camo for his truck. I also got him an IPOD and loaded it with 400 of his favorite songs, mostly older country. Now, I just have to wait until I get home to get my present because he was buying it today on the way home from work. I am excited because I love presents!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day and I hope tomorrow to have pictures of little Jaron to post for you all to see how CUTE he is! Keep praying for Kara and Clint! Thanks!

Life is BUSY!!!

In the past few months I have not had a lot of time to post. Some many things in my life are changing and God is doing wonderful things for so many I am close to! My brother-in-law and soon to be sister-in-law have gotten engaged and will be getting married on July 31. We are very excited for them, we love Nancy and can't wait to have her as a part of our family. When they get married there is a good chance they will move to Nashville and then only be 3 hours away and not 10!

My friend Kara is approaching her due date and we are more than ready to meet her new little boy! Her husband also was just voted in as the new pastor at their church! I am so glad to have them in my life and so glad that God is filling their lives with greatness!

My friend Wini and her husband just moved into a new house and they are also expecting in February! We are in the process of planning her baby shower for December! I love the fact that I am the one planning this event because I am the ultimate planner; I love parties!

Today I came into work and got some more good new that my dear friend and co-worker Lauren got engaged last night and is planning a wedding for February! We are also planning a shower for her........How much do I love to plan parties and showers? THIS MUCH!!!!

I am very blessed to say that tomorrow is Our 4 year anniversary! I am very blessed to be Andrew's wife. Although we did go on a trip in late August for our anniversary and that was our present to each other I did get Andrew a little something, which I will tell you more about tomorrow! I am very blessed to be married to the man I love and who is my best friend! More about that tomorrow though!

Please keep me in your prayers as next Thursday I will be leaving for a religious retreat called A Walk to Emmaus.I will be gone from Thursday night until Sunday night with no communication to Andrew or Calleigh. Pray for God to give me strength......I am a nervous wreck!

We have a lot going on here at work as well. I am in the process of some changes in my office which I promise to tell you about.........just not right now. I can't way too much until I know all of the details but pray that this is my time and doors will open for me! Love you all!

Where have I been?

Guess who's back.....Back again.......Candace's back....Tell a friend!!!

So, after about a 2 week break(give or take a couple of days) I am back to the blog world! Life has been crazy with RD/RA Training, new student move in, student registration, Resident Life days on campus, Andrew's sports events, family events, new babies, sad funerals, and getting to spend a little amount of time together as a family. But life is getting back on track, we are back into the swing of things, and now the blogging is ready to be back on track.

Andrew and I are very excited about Labor day since it means a 3 day weekend! The last weekend in August we celebrated our anniversary (which is not until September 17) but we have no other time! We went to Patti's settlement and had tickets for dinner and a show and then stayed at the hotel in Grand Rivers. I was such a nice getaway and nice to have time for just us(not that we don't love Calleigh, because we love her more than words, but a little adult time was nice too!) The first weekend in September(which would be this weekend) we have no plans but to spend time together this weekend as a family! Next weekend Andrew has a his MAT class on Saturday, on the weekend of our anniversary we are taking some friends out to eat for their daughter's first birthday, and the next weekend I am off to go on a religious retreat called "A Walk to Emmaus" which I am super excited about! We have been very very very busy with sporting events but things are slowing down for us. Fall is our favorite time of year and we are looking forward to many things as they are approaching quicker than we expected.

I have not posted pictures for a while and but I am going to get some new pictures up HOPEFULLY on Tuesday when I get back. We are hoping we can go to the park or to the zoo or somewhere fun with Calleigh this weekend. So, whatever it is we decide to do I will get some new pictures up!

Life has been putting some trials in our paths such as lack of family time and some other things so just as a request from me please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers. I know that sometimes you have to jump a few hurdles to win the race and we are ready to cross that finish line! Until next week, I hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day!

Aubrey Rose Crawford

Last night Andrew and I went to meet his new little niece (step niece to be exact, but we love her non the less!) Aubrey Rose Crawford was born on August 11 and was 5 lbs. 12 ozs and 18 inches long! Just a little smaller then my little one(haha!) But she sure is sweet! Here is a picture of Andrew's Dad and Step-Mom with Aubrey and Calleigh!

Calleigh did not know what to think about a little baby. While I was holding her she got a little jealous, but not for long!

I have been swamped here at work with the Registration process! The kids have began to work their way around campus making sure they are ready to start next Wednesday. I have RD/RA Training tomorrow and Saturday and then on Sunday I get to relax with my sweet husband and enjoy at Cardinals game at Busch Stadium! PTL! I am very excited about a little time off before college gets back going and we get back in the swing of things!

Andrew is done with softball and here are a few picture of my best guy and best girl at his last game of the year!

Andrew has his first day of work tomorrow with Teacher Prep day and then he has kids come in starting on Monday. Sporting events have already begun so now all of our free time is GONE!!!! But we love the kids and we have a good time together as a family, so it all evens out!
